Keyclad Secures City South Residential

Keyclad have secured the overcladding contract for three new residential blocks on the City South Residential project in Hulme, Manchester.
The contract, for Wates Living Space, is due to commence in January 2012 with a contract value in excess of £2m.

Opal 1 – Abertay Student Accommodation

Keyclad have recently completed the roofing and cladding works to the Abertay University Student Accomodation project, with a value to Keyclad of over £2.4m. The purpose built halls of residence provides accommodation to many of the University’s full time students with a selection of rom types available including Standard en-suite, Standard-plus en-suite and Deluxe en-suite rooms.

A number of different cladding systems were installed by Keyclad on this project including the hot melt roofing system and the rainscreen cladding to the external walls. In addition Keyclad installed over 2000m2 of Kingpsan Curve DW premium insulated panels to create a striking effect to the external walls.

Keyclad Kicks off with the National Football Centre

Keyclad has been awarded the roofing and cladding contract at George’s Park, the FA’s new National Football Centre near Burton upon Trent.

High profile and nationally and internationally significant, St George’s Park will be a world class facility providing top class education for future generations of English footballers and coaches and will also house a leading sports medicine and performance centre.

Natural and artificial grass training pitches were laid in 2001. Construction on the rest of the project £105m will start in January and will include:

Changing rooms
Sports medicine/science centre
Offices
230 bedroom hotel
Conference and banqueting
Training rooms
Car parking
Formal hard and soft landscaping

Commonwealth Games Stadium

Constructed for the Games of July 2002, the 38,000 seater stadium will become home to Manchester City FC for the 2003/2004 season. Keyclad has installed polycarbonate inclined rainscreen panels to the external elevations.

A £1.2million fast track cladding package included the refurbishment and renewal to the roof and walls of the East and West stands, three feature stair towers clad in contrasting panels, together with modifications to the South stand to extend the roof light areas.
